RIZE Ferrofluid Display (blacklight)

This RIZE contains a UV colored ferrofluid that glows under blacklight! Without a blacklight the ferrofluid is black and the clear liquid has a slightly greenish tint.

The RIZE is an amazing desktop sculpture containing a strange liquid called ferrofluid which becomes highly magnetized in the presence of a magnetic field and forms spikes and other organic shapes.

We created the RIZE to showcase these characteristics by using a large paramagnetic machined center screw and a detachable magnetic base to cause the fluid to spike, spin and rise up in a mesmerizing blend of art and science.
